A global sailing, volunteering & storytelling mission
Sailing With Purpose
Adventure that leaves a positive wake. We’re Chris & Lauren, preparing to sail around the world aboard our Nautitech 46 Open โ supporting charities, community-led projects and marine conservation in every place we drop anchor.

Why we exist
Three journeys, one boat.
Sailing With Purpose combines three connected ideas: a genuine round-the-world sailing voyage, hands-on volunteering with locally led organisations, and honest storytelling that shares what we find. The boat is the platform โ never the purpose.
โ
Global sailing
A multi-year circumnavigation, starting with the Atlantic and the ARC 2027.
โค
Meaningful volunteering
Practical and professional support for organisations that ask for it.
๐ฅ
Responsible storytelling
Honest, human stories โ never saviour narratives or exaggerated impact.
The people behind the vision
We don’t just want to see the world. We want to be useful in it.
We’re Chris and Lauren โ a married couple whose careers have been built around helping organisations, services and people work better. Chris brings technology, transformation and project delivery; Lauren brings financial-services operations, service improvement and people leadership. We’re also both committed fitness enthusiasts: active, practical, and happy to get stuck in.
One boat. Two people. A world of locally led action.
Hands-on support where it’s genuinely useful โ always guided by local priorities, never our own assumptions.
Reach
Sail to coastal and island communities.
Listen
Start with locally identified needs.
Match
Offer skills and resources that are genuinely useful.
We will arrive curious โ never assuming we already know what is needed.
Where we’ll focus
Purpose with practical edges.
Across registered charities, NGOs and credible local initiatives โ wherever our presence, skills and platform can meet a genuine need.
๐๏ธ
Community-led projects
Local organisations doing work their communities have identified as a priority.
๐
Marine & environmental conservation
Coral, coastline, waste and habitat work in the places we sail through.
๐
Education, skills & youth
Practical support for organisations building opportunity for young people.
